Clemson Area Sports Council

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Clemson Area Sports Council is to enhance economic growth by marketing the Clemson area as a destination for sporting events, and related activities.

Objectives

  • To promote economic development within the service area of the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce by recruiting, creating and coordinating sporting events and related activities.
  • To Establish and maintain relationships with local, state, regional, national, and international, sporting associations.
  • To Market existing and future athletic facilities to prospective client organizations.
  • To host existing sports events and exceed customer expectations to assure repeat business.
  • To Promote members of the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce to tourists and participants attracted by sporting events and related activities.

Organization

Advisory Committee: The advisory committee will act as a clearinghouse for prospective events. They will also be responsible for allocating Sports Council resources, financial and otherwise.

Council Members: The council members are persons in the community who have access to resources or posses knowledge in the field of sport. This list should continue to grow and be as inclusive as possible to maximize community support.
